The Bronx House Tween and Teen Center provides Tweens (5th-8th grades) and Teens (9th-12th grades) with a safe, fun and nurturing place to spend their afternoons, evenings, and school holidays. We have many exciting programs for 2010-2011 so don't miss out on these amazing opportunities!

SATURDAY NITE TWEEN SCENE

If you’re a tween (5th-8th grades) who's looking for something exciting to do on Saturday nights, then Bronx House is the place to be! Join us on the first Saturday night of every month for this thrilling program that will change month to month and feature great activities such as dancing to the latest hits, Gameroom, swimming, music videos, movies, volleyball, arts and crafts. Snacks will be provided.
Begins October 9, 2010 from 6:30-9:00 pm.

"THE LOUNGE" - If you are a 5th-8th graders, our lounge will be your favorite hang out! We offer a place to hang out with friends, play tabletop games including Pool, Ping Pong, Chess and Board Games, and participate in many exciting tournaments.

"TEEN LOUNGE" - All 9th through 12th graders come on down and "hang" with old friends or meet new ones. Play games, watch Movies, or just chill with MTV!

Tuesdays - 5:30-7:00pm
Saturdays - 12:00-3:00pm

Tween/Teen Weekend Trips
In the spirit of our traveling day camps, we are proud to offer Weekend Trips for 5th-12th graders. Trips will include, but are not limited to an amusement park in the Fall, snow tubing in the winter, and a professional baseball game in the spring. (Trips are subject to change)

HOLIDAY VACATION PROGRAMS - During school vacation weeks, Bronx House is the place to be! Teens will go on trips to many exciting sites in the Metro New York area.

| SAT Prep Course/College Readiness - Students will prepare for the college entrance exam by learning strategies and techniques specifically designed to boost their score.
*Funding for this program is provided by Assemblywoman Naomi Rivera and the NYS OCSF.

NEW! The Readiness Seminars - Class is designed to introduce job readiness and employment skills to youth including attitude, skills, behavior, and more.

NEW! High School Entrance Exam Prep -Participants will learn strategies, techniques, and timing to effectively take the high school entrance exam.

Teen Weight Loss Program - This program is designed to help the teen lose weight by learning mindful eating, exercises and setting realistic short and long-term goals. Participants will keep personal journals and reflect on their eating and exercise behaviors.
